Kannonji Temple
5-17 Yamatechō, Hanno, Saitama 357-0031, Japan
Hannyayama Chojuin Kannonji is a temple of the Shingon sect and is popular as a temple in the city area. During the Edo period (around the Bunka and Bunsei period), it attracted people's faith as the 10th temple among the 33 sacred sites in Koma County. I did.

I stopped by before going for a hike on Mt. Tenran. People were already arriving after 9am, and several people were lining up to get the goshuin stamps. It's popular, isn't it? The elephant statue is interesting. The plum blossoms were just beginning to bloom and were beautiful.

I parked my car at Central Park Parking Lot 1. I went through the walking path next to the Hanno Museum and arrived in about 5 minutes on foot. A little further along the approach, there was a white statue on the left. I was able to see the white statue that appeared in the anime up close. I was surprised that it was made in 1965 and has maintained its white color even after 60 years. When I looked at it up close, I saw that it was a statue made of papier-mâché. I'm satisfied.

A temple near Hanno Kawara that often appeared in a certain anime. The symbol is a white elephant. I stopped by while walking around Hanno, just in time for the autumn leaves. The beautiful autumn leaves and the view of the Hanno River were beautiful.

Lovely temple where you can see a white elephant statue and plum blossoms in mid February.
