Beautiful glassware and art relics from the past

The shop had many more choices of items than the shops in the tourist area by the lake. It was great to see the shop where they make the products and to walk through the museum as well. If you are looking for yoseki I wouldn't pass this by.

Fantastic woodworking pieces on display. Yosegi and inlay work. No photography allowed so unable to post pictures. Would highly recommend if you are interested in woodworking or yosegi. The shop has incredible pieces to purchase.

A few minutes' drive from Hakone. Museum has examples of Yoseki, the intricate Japanese woodcraft. From the shop you can sometimes see the craftsmen at work. You can book a make-your-own coaster session, and shop sells all manner of Yoseki artifacts from puzzle boxes to ornaments, storage jars, photo frames etc.

Handmade puzzle boxes with up to 12 steps to unlock. You can so make your own coaster in the workshop
