It is an important junction for the bus routes. If you are going from Kamikochi to Takayama or even Matsumoto, you probably have to change buses here. While waiting. You can either check out the supermarket/souvenir shop, or walk around in some nearby roads. Very scenic, especially in autumn, when I had the chance to visit. Toilets, Vending machines, etc are available, hence, it is convenient as well.

Good location and reasonable price, big hot spring area could enjoy and relax.

Bus terminal has more connections than expected, a nice junction for travelers and adventurers hiking or going to other ski resorts and onsens in the area. Since we were driving through, being able to get a cup of coffee before continuing was a welcomed addition to a quick stop, here. Recent snow made the whole area picturesque.

Very little English signage, but some beautiful outdoor onsens with view of the mountains
