I really enjoyed the Himeji city zoo so I had similar expectations but honestly it wasn’t as great. I paid ¥520 for the entry and honestly I think it wasn’t really worth it. all the staff were very kind though which is a plus.

Great place! Recommend everyone who is in Himeji. You can even touch manta ray and sharks. I didn’t dare

It was okay. A distance from the train station but accessible by bus. Not as grand as Osaka Aquarium. Mostly local visitors. But it was still informative and my daughter loved it.

It's the old mono rail station converted to a aquarium. It can be fun to do if you want to visit differently himeji.
