For ¥300 you get the best views you can get in the surrounding area. In the afternoon the sun is in the incorrect angle though, because it will shine directly in your lens. I'm not sure if I would call it a museum, more like a park. I regretted bringing my polarisation filter for my camera, because it would have been the perfect opportunity to take some photos of the salmon in the clear water.

I think this place is decent. I honestly think it should be free like the other nearby sites. If the flowers were in full bloom I think it would definitely be worth it although still pretty. Unfortunately though the entrance staff was not very friendly nor helpful, which is a bit perplexing because ticketing is automated so not sure what her job was for. Still would recommend though!

It’s 300 yen to enter this little museum and it is a great pit stop to get away from all the large crowds in the area. The biggest draw to this museum is the upper deck that is great to take pictures of the lake with Mount Fuji in the background. On clouds days, the view may not be worth the entrance fee.

such a wonderful and unexpected surprise—the museum gave unrivalled views of fuji and was beautiful with the thick layer of soft snow everywhere
