This building shows the history of Hanno City and the high level of technical skill of the old carpenters! The curator was kind and thorough in guiding us around ❤ I definitely recommend visiting if you go sightseeing in Hanno City!

Worth a look. It has been preserved in very good condition and you can even tour the attic.

Built in the late 1900s, this merchant's house was built in an earthen storehouse style and operated a silk-related business, which was a local industry at the time, and remains almost unchanged from when it was first built. It is open to the public free of charge every Wednesday to Sunday.

Great place to see the inside of Kura which is the Japanese traditional warehouse. Visitors can go inside and go even the upstairs to see it!! Amazing!!There is a kind person who can explain about the building and the culture around Hanno city. It is said that it was built as a storehouse to store textiles and silk. You can also tour the inside of the building and see the 2nd and 3rd floors (the attic). Combined with the guide's explanation, you can learn a little bit about Hanno's past.
