Hamanako Garden Park is a lush city park built on the site of the 2004 Pacific Flora Garden Exposition and the 21st National Urban Greenery Fair Shizuoka, where you can relax and enjoy the seasonal scenery.There are over 20 facilities where you can enjoy the views of the open spaces and beautiful seasons of nature along the shores of Hamana Lake, including the 50m observation tower that is regarded as a symbol of the park, the colorful Flower Museum, and the Pleasure Boat Cruise on the waterway that runs through the park.

Hamanako Flower Expo 2024 will be held! The event will be held at the Hamanako Garden Park venue from April 6th (Sat) to June 2nd (Sun). In preparation for this, we are temporarily closed until April 5th. This is the 20th anniversary since the Flower Expo was held in 2004. I'm sure everyone involved is working hard too. This time's theme is “A bridge between people, nature, and technology - Lake Hamana Digital Garden City” I lived in Kosai City for 15 years starting in 2008, so I used to go to Garden Park often. A wide variety of plants are grown in this large, well-maintained park. I really enjoyed seeing nemophila, roses, sunflowers, cosmos, etc. in each season. I now live far away. This time, I will post a photo I took before.

I think it's great that admission is free. I think it's strange that there are no cafes or other restaurants because it's winter. The space where the cafe used to be has disappeared, and everything has become a hands-on classroom = a hangout for the elderly. Perhaps because of this, the soft-serve ice cream kitchen car, which has almost no customers, is a mess because the soft-serve ice cream doesn't come out properly. . . *The taste is usually delicious. The view from the paid observation tower is worth seeing. If the sky is clear, you can even see small Mt. Fuji.

I came to Garden Park in Nishi Ward, Hamamatsu City. It is held free of charge at the same location where the Lake Hamana Flower Expo was held. On holidays, there are various events such as marches and events that can be enjoyed by a wide range of people, including families, couples, and friends. This time I went on a weekday, so there were a lot of elderly people and people walking their dogs. It's great that such a large and wonderful place is free. Cleaning is done every day and there is a feeling of cleanliness. I still want to use it.
