Great location, views like no other! Can see the leak of Mt Fuji in the distance and a great walk around the area and view of the shrine. Cable car was sturdy and quick, nice souvenir shop at the top reasonably priced, recommend for a day trip out and surrounding areas.

I don’t understand why not every Hakone guide highlights this place; the views are insane, much much better than from the other cable car thingy, and the mountain top itself is serene and beautiful. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

Amazing view from the peak. Very windy and cold. Remember to bring the hat and wear thick clothes.

If the weather is clear, make sure to take the cable car to the top. Breathtaking view on the plateau for both mount fuji and lake ashi.
