Beautiful lake, water is so clean it reflects everything, shrine on lake was interesting to see especially due to the hundreds of people there queing up for photos. Recommend to take sun glasses at every time of the year due to sun reflection on water it becomes painful after awhile.

It’s not only good at architecture but also the view of landscape. After taking some steps, traveler can have a great view of mountain Fuji. Highly recommend.

Lakeside area with views of Mt Fuji, many boat trips available to cruise lake to get different view of Fuji. Also jumping off point for a couple of cable car rides up to the surrounding hills. Lake side area very pretty, many lakeside hotels.

Great impression of a Japanese feudal border checkpoint, with all the bits and pieces attached. We only quickly walked through while walking from ferry to ferry point, but it was a very welcoming historic feel experience. The day we were there you didn't have to pay any ticket. I guess it was still closed.
