Beautiful building with many great rooms. The tour guide was very kind & had lots of great info about the building & history. A great way to spend an hour. Also close to the beach. Enjoy a nice walk on the beach after the house tour. Highly recommended.

Building is absolutely gorgeous. The kind lady working there was able to explain many things about the place to me in using basic Japanese/English. Great experience, and the painted cedar walls are worth seeing.

I highly recommend a day trip from to Karatsu from Fukuoka. This historic house was so beautiful and amazing to see. I felt like I was taking a trip back in time. The tour guide was so helpful and spoke wonderful English. She taught us so many things about the house.

Must visit if you’re visiting this area. One of the most impressive historical residences in Japan I’ve ever been to. No pictures are allowed inside.
