It is a landmark just outside Dogo Onsen station, built to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Dogo Onsen main building. The show runs every hour between 8am and 10pm, every 30 minutes on weekends/ public holidays/ special occasion. Characters from the novel, Botchan, begins to move to the music.

It is quite an entertainment to watch while you are not rushing off somewhere. I felt like it was the first thing that greeted me as I arrived in the area and started my journey to my hotel. I think I missed the shuttle bus after watching this 😆

You can relax your foot here for free and see the clock performing music. Opposite of the clock is a nice Starbucks coffee shop. It is memorial place for me

The clock reassembles itself in a cool fashion. Every hour the opening and closing of the clock structure is taken place automatically with nice chime sounds and music. Nice place to sit and relax. Kids would be playing along side

This spot is a clock with mechanical dolls! Every 1 hour they starts moving. The tower opens the walls and some dolls come out and move! The dolls are local people here in old days. Looks super fancy! Tourists were taking video when I visited. Located just in front of the Tran station! Enjoy!
