This is an amazing park that, in just minutes, takes you away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Sapporo. The rose gardens are beautiful, as well as the preserved sections. It's easy to imagine what it was like in the time of the Ainu.

Beautiful garden with lots of beautiful matured trees. However our visit was cut short as a deer had made its way in and the administration thought that it might be dangerous. So we didn't get our full fill and full feel of the gardens. The administration was very gracious to offer us a refund of the entrance fees. Of course we didn't take it 😜 very understanding on their part🙏

Just a lovely place. Though the flowers that bloom would depend on the season. When during start of autumn, everything was still green. Would love to return late autumn when the leaves change.

We went there to escape the heat of the city for a short while on a Thursday noon, and we were nearly alone. The garden belongs to Sapporo University, and the entry fee is 420 ¥ for adults (300 ¥ children). It's a nice park, mainly with huge grass areas and focusing on trees and some shrubs, interspersed with some "theme areas " (stone garden, rose garden,...) Again, this is not mainly a tourist attraction but an academic garden, but it's still a great place to visit. There's also a little museum displaying local animals. ...and it is THE ONE place you have to go to experience dragonflies!! For any reason, they are totally tame here, sit on your hands and head and don't flee even when you touch them.

Absolutely gorgeous! ❤️🌿 There are 2 routes: inner (10stops) and outer (20stops). We have done both and spent a lot of time in the greenhouse, the museum, Ainu museum and memorial place. Took us 3 hours altogether. Very beautiful and peaceful just to take a stroll through all that beauty. I recommend it wholeheartedly ❤️
