Take the stairs. Enjoy a beautiful Shinto shrine nestled amongst the hustle and bustle for a peaceful pause. There was a very snuggly white cat there waiting for pets. We didn’t take the same stairs down but instead found a meandering pathway to the left of the shrine with steps leading to a walking tunnel towards Tokyo tower.

Very pretty shrine on top of a steep hill. We took the elevator up and walked down the steps. Places of the shrine were under construction so the view was not that great but still worth going to if you’re in the area.

This was a really serene break from our busy visit to Tokyo city. It's hard to comprehend how long and steep the stairs are until you see it for yourself. I was very nervous watching my kids go up and down them. There's a Koi pond at the top and a store and place for prayer. We spent less than an hour here but we all really enjoyed it, it's a surprising little gem hidden in an otherwise busy corporate area.

The temple is famous for it stairs and it is situated inside the city where you couldn’t believe it really exists. The stairs are the focus of a ritual carried out in a festival every other year in which a palanquin is carried up and down the stone steps as a symbol of success in life. Make sure you are taking the stairs or if you want a easy way yes they are it is at the side of the shrine. Cool pond and shrine, not too big could encounter more koi fish, way the worth. The way to the temple is clear with the Google maps you need to take the main road if you are aiming for the stairs.

Walking in the street, I noticed a huge stairway. This stairway lead to a quite hidden paradise in this modern neighborhood of Tokyo. At the top you will notice a modest, yet beautiful, shrine with a pond, home to many Koi fish.
