AER Observation Terrace is located on the 31st floor of the AER building, conveniently adjacent to Sendai Station. It is a free observation deck that is not crowded and offers a great spot for visitors to enjoy the cityscape. During day time, you will spot the busy streets with flow of people, cars and trains. As darkness descends, you will able to see the night city with the famous Hapina street stretching out from the station and separating the city by its light. For the best experience, consider visiting right before sunset. You can witness the beautiful transition of the city from day to night.

It's free to go, no tickets or reservation needed. Just make sure to be respectful because people are working in this building and also using using the elevators. The view is very beautiful, and there's 2 terraces so you can see both sides of Sendai. Definitely worth your time!

Very dirty scratched windows for the view. Not great. Better to take photos out of the window when you come out of the lift on the 31st floor. Not easy to find, no signs. Ask at the information desk in the station and they'll give you a map.

Don't miss it if you find some time to spare in Sendai city. You can check out the free observation deck on the 31st floor. It's just a short 5-minute walk away from the station. It does not have the 360 view. But you will find two decks. On one side, you can see the Sendai city, and on the other end, you can watch the Shinkansen and the Pacific Ocean.

It's free so the value is technically infinite. The view is decent but it's no Tokyo. If you've seen any city at night you've seen this one. There is pretty bad glare at night from the indoor lights so it will be difficult to take photos of each other. Maybe check it out for sunset that would be cute.
